AGOWe’re one week closer to Christmas. Are you stressing out yet? Have you started your holiday shopping yet? Maybe you can use this weekend to forget about all that. Nothing wrong with procrastination. It’s a choice. This weekend is packed with thing to do in Toronto and I’ve got the TOP5. So even though it’s cold outside, get out there and have fun!

The AGO’s Guggenheim Collection – This latest exhibit titled The Great Upheaval: Masterpieces from the Guggenheim Collection looks at the European art scene in the tumultuous decade of 1910 – 1918 and features artists such as Picasso, Mondrian, Chagall, to name a few. Toronto is the only stop outside the Guggenheim itself for this exhibit which runs until March 2nd. The exhibit ends with the words “the world cannot change without changing our thinking” projected onto the floor. How perfect if you’re looking for a bit of reflection during the holiday season. For schedule and ticket info visit the AGO website.

Breakfast with SantaBreakfast With Santa at Casa Loma –  This fun Saturday morning holiday event for kids is a communal breakfast event headlined by Santa Claus himself. Children are served pancakes, sausages and fruit, while parents can enjoy pastries along with their choice of coffee, orange juice, or tea. After the meal and a visit with Santa, everyone is invited to take in a performance of Peter Pan.

The AstraZeneca Human Edge - This newest exhibition at the Ontario Science Centre opening this Saturday explores the limits of human physiology with an array of high-tech toys to help visitors explore their own capabilities. There are 55 exhibits, including a rock-climbing wall, a choose-your-own-adventure maze and a free-diving simulator. Discover stories of athletes, adventure seekers, extreme sports enthusiasts and others who have broken through barriers of what was once thought humanly possible.

CraftsToronto Young Designers Holiday Sale – This 4th annual event will host nineteen local vendors at Brassaii in King West this Saturday, 10:00am – 3:00pm. Look for jewellery, home decor, paper goods, baby gifts, clothing, tote bags, art, furniture and beauty supplies. There will be gift wrapping on site. So save yourself the stress of the mall and shop till you drop for some original pieces for your loved ones, or dare I say, yourself.

A little bit country with Boots and Bourbon Saloon - Matt Pettit is making Leslieville a little bit more country. From the genius behind Rock Lobster Food Co. comes new East End country bar Boots & Bourbon Saloon which recently took over the Riverside Public House space at Queen and Broadview. Saturday night marks the official grand opening of the new restaurant/bar/country jamboree, offering cocktails, comfort food, line dancing lessons, and live music. So if you’re looking for some country fun in the city, this might just be the destination.
